{"id":128,"date":"2019-07-31T16:00:42","date_gmt":"2019-07-31T16:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/safegasequipment.co.za\/?page_id=128"},"modified":"2022-11-22T08:16:35","modified_gmt":"2022-11-22T08:16:35","slug":"users","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/safegasequipment.co.za\/index.php\/users\/","title":{"rendered":"Users"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>Duties of a User<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With <strong>Regulations 6 and\u00a017<\/strong> in mind the User shall ensure that \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button alignright\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.ymaws.com\/www.safcec.org.za\/resource\/resmgr\/website\/SAFCECSHERQ_PresEquipRegGuid.pdf\">View Regulations 6 &amp; 17 of the PER<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>the pressure equipment for Industrial Natural Gas, LPG, Biogas, CNG and  Liquid Fuels installations has a valid SGES Permit<\/li><li>the gas system has a valid Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by a gas practitioner registered with SAQCC Gas <\/li><li>when importing own equipment the User will be deemed an importer and will need to adhere to the duties of an importer as per Regulation 5 of the PER and apply for equipment permits.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>User Responsibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button alignright\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.ymaws.com\/www.safcec.org.za\/resource\/resmgr\/website\/SAFCECSHERQ_PresEquipRegGuid.pdf\">Read more on Regulation 14<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Keep all records for the operating life of the equipment. <\/li><li>Such records shall typically cover repairs, modifications, maintenance, commissioning&nbsp;and inspection test records. Also&nbsp;but not limited to, design calculations, approved manufacturing drawings, approved fabrication records, pressure test, gas certificate of conformity&#8217;s. &nbsp;<\/li><li>Users shall ensure where used pressure equipment is sold, that all user held records are transferred to the new owner as applicable<strong>.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Pre &amp; Post 2019 explained<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Guidance notes to the Regulation 17 (j) and (k) addresses actions to be noted: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>(j) If an existing installation commissioned before July 2009, is not designed and constructed to the requirements of SANS 329 as published at that time, the user shall determine that the equipment is designed, maintained, inspected, tested, and operating in a safe manner.
